Last 8th and 9th April, the Spring Championship took place at the Shropshire & West Midlands Showground, Shrewsbury, England, which is a very important milestone of the British Championship for Mounted Games club teams. Andrea Farinetti took part also thanks to the generous contribute of Alessandro Menozzi, CEO of Portomirabello, that allowed him to face this prestigious competition clashing with the top players of the world.

The Mounted Games belong to the equestrian sports branch and they are practiced by all the ages. The players ride pony up to a height of 152 cm (60 inches). The type of competition requires a high level of athletic ability, coordination, determination and competitive spirit, joined together with a strong spirit team with the will to help each other in achieving the result.

The Farinetti Team was the one of the Leicestershire (Leicester Country) and it was composed by 5 athletes of great experience and skills, each from a different country: New Zeland, England, Germany, Ireland and Italy. After 3 qualifying sessions and the final, Leicestershire has been placed 9th on 47 participant teams.

Not only equestrian sports, Porto Mirabello encourages and offers its guests different sports attractions.
